Highly stable deuterium (D) substituted A-site organic cations:
D-substituted formamidinium halides and D-substituted methylammonium halides. Hybrid perovskites contain organic amino group in which the H atom in N-H bond is highly active and can migrate and form HX (X=I, Br or Cl) with halide in its proximity, causing decomposition of the perovskites. The replacement of active H with its non-radioactive isotope D can effectively retards the decomposition reaction. These deuterated organic cations are demonstrated to be adaptable to any customers' own perovskite formulations but exhibit added stabilizing effect in addition to customers' own formulations.​​​​ See details in PNAS Nexus, 2023, 2, p160.

Pre-polishing raw silicon wafers to remove diamond wire saw-damaged layers, metal ions and other contaminants involved during wafer slicing.

Alkaline texturing to produce smooth pyramids size ranging between 2-6 um for lowest reflectance and minimized charge recombination. We also offer formulated texturizing non-volatile additives for different single crystal wafers including n-Si for HJT, PERC and TOPCON. Below is an example of texturized n-type HJT wafer processed with our texturizing additive specifically formulated for n-type HJT wafer. The additive is the key to produce smooth pyramid size ranging between 2-6 um for lowest reflectance and minimized charge recombination.

Double side textured HJT wafer is adaptable to wafer manufacturing line, a realistic choice for the commercialization of perovskite-Si tandem cell. Price: $1500/pack, each pack contains three Si HJT wafers without ITO layers on either side (Note: n and p sides are indicated in the packaging box with the n side facing up and the p side facing down; the pyramid size ranges from 1~1.5µm) + one set (two pieces) of identical masks (see above picture for diagram) made from glass fiber (a material adaptable to UHV sputtering chamber) for patterned ITO coating on both sides and for patterned metal coating on the p side. The Si wafer size =210mm x 105 mm. Customers can coat ITO on both sides with desired thickness, and use laser to cut the wafer into smaller pieces. Typically, the n side appears more bluish, while the p side is more grayish.

Lead toxicity mitigation and laminated safety glass for perovskite solar cells: on-device lead sequestering solar EVA encapsulating film. Most high-performance perovskite solar cells contains water-soluble lead contents and non-tempered TCO glass. Thus, future commercialization of perovskite solar cells is subject to tight regulations by EPA, OSHA, US CPSC and government building glazing materials regulations. AA's proprietary lead-absorbing solar EVA film technology provides an excellent solution to form laminated safety TCO glass for BIPV (avoid glass shards) and to minimize lead leakage to environment or to residential area. PV Efficiency Booster: This innovative coating solution can boost the power conversion efficiency of most solar cells for extra 0.1%~0.15% (absolute value). The active materials can be readily applied via spraying coating on the front side of most solar cells such as on the TCO glass side of perovskite solar cells, or on the TCO layer of perovskite-Si tandem cells, or on the front surface of metalized Si wafers (right before encapsulation).

Electrolyzers and components for CO2 reduction to value-added chemicals including ethanol, ethylene, acetate, formate and beyond
* We provide catalysts-coated cathodes, flow plates, anode coated with OER catalyst, gasket and full set of electrolyzers with standard active area of 5cm2, or 25cm2. The full electrolyzer can be assembled in the format of mebrane electrode assembly (MEA). Our patent-pending flow field design on cathode side can minimize the salting out and clogging of the gas flow channels. Our patent-pending cathode design allows the use of superhydrophobic PTFE film as the gas diffusion layer to minimize the flooding issue (in contrast to the case of using carbon paper as gas diffusion layer), while electrical current can still be delivered to the catalytic layer without suffering from high series resistance. Our electrolyzer system can achieve over 80% in Faradaic efficiency for electrocatalytic CO2 to C2 (mainly ethylene and ethanol) conversion when properly installed and used.
